Frequently asked questions
Does the file stay on the server?
PDF compression is handled by Ghostscript on the server. The original and result files are deleted immediately after processing, and are never saved or viewed separately.
The file size barely shrinks.
A text-heavy PDF is already small, so there's little room to shrink it further. Files with more images benefit more.
Does the text get garbled?
Text stays as vector data and only images are recompressed, so text quality is preserved.
