Frequently asked questions

What makes a good original image?

A square PNG or SVG of 512×512 or larger works best. Simple shapes stay clearer at small sizes.

Isn't a single favicon.ico enough?

This is fine for older browsers, but iPhone home screens (180px) and Android (192px, 512px) need separate PNGs.
