How to use Compare text

1Paste the original on the left and the revised version on the right.
2Turn on ignore whitespace/case if needed.
3See added (green) and removed (red) lines, plus the exact characters that changed. Switches to inline view automatically on narrow screens.

Does this work with very long text?

Can compare up to tens of thousands of lines, but if there are a huge number of differences, it may slow down or switch to an approximate comparison.

Can I compare Word or PDF files too?

Only text is compared. Copy the content from your file and paste it in.
